Humble & Mash Cookbook Stand

This stand is simple but striking in its design and lends a nice touch as a kitchen decoration. It is very useful and holds the books well. The only reason I would subtract a star is because the back 'lending' arms that hold the stand upright are quite long and a bit loose - they sometimes slip out when the stand is moved. Overall, the stand has added value to my everyday kitchen experience.

I am not in the same league as an accomplished chef that somehow never need to use a recipe. I absolutely enjoy cooking and as you know that your hands will become soiled and I need to refer to my recipe book and it will be lying flat somewhere so having a good recipe book holder makes your cooking so much more enjoyable and you will find it absolutely every time that you need to refer to your recipe. I bought the Humble & Mash Cookbook stand with a birthday voucher and it is definitely the most practical kitchen gift I now own. The stand is solid and beautifully made so even without my cookbooks on it, it makes a striking counter top feature.

You know, I do not only cook, but also bake, smoke meats, make cheeses and preserve foods. I also experiment with various recipes from various cultures which in most cases are in printed format (heavy books), but lately more in electronic format (saved on my tablet, which is a delicate and fragile). Buying a "Book Support" for my kitchen was never a high priority, but it was only after I gave it a suitable place in my kitchen, that I realise what I was missing in the past! P.S. This stand-up support is not the most expensive in the range available on the market, but it is sturdy for both a tablet and a book. It makes the information easily readable at a comfortable angle. I am sure my cookbooks thanked me for this purchase, the amount of stains has decreased dramatically. I like that the stand part folds up, making it easy to put away. I do find that it doesn't work as well for smaller, thicker books as they don't stay open. It does also make a great iPad stand though, why not queue up some Chef's Table for inspo whilst you cook?

Love it – it is sturdy don't have to chase it around the counter when turning the pages of the cookery book I am using. Folds up easily and fits flat into my kitchen drawer.

I love this sturdy, well-made cookbook stand. It looks great and adds another dimension to the kitchen counter, and will really come in handy when I try recipes from my many food magazines. It was always a shlep to have the mags/recipe books lying akwardly as I tried to follow their recipes, but this will really help make the process more seamless and a lot less messy. Use this often. I actually get most of my recipes from googling on my iPad. I rest my iPad in it and because I have to constantly take my glasses off to read, I manage to fit them in to the bottom of the holder as well.

A must-have — modern design and a somehow neutral beige-grey colour that fits into any kitchen style. Stands properly and doesn't collapse when using heavier recipe books — unlike other products.

I don't know why I waited so long to get one of these... It's come in very handy, and frees up counter space as well when the cookbook is on a stand and not taking up all that space lying open on the countertop! YC might want to take a better pic for the website as it looks like it's silver and is actually a very nice cream colour... :-)

It does two things. Holds your cookbook or iPad & makes a beautiful decor piece in the kitchen. I thought it was silver when I saw it online but it’s beige in colour. I was quite pleasantly surprised!
