What is Mobicred?

Mobicred is a simple and convenient revolving credit facility that allows you to safely shop online with more than 4,000 online stores in South Africa, including Yuppiechef.com. Your Mobicred account allows you to make one single monthly payment for all of your online spend, with a credit limit up to R50,000*

How do I sign up for Mobicred?

To apply for and open a Mobicred account, you'll need to meet the following criteria:

• Have a valid South African ID number.
• Have an existing valid bank account.
• Have a valid email address and a RICA’d mobile number.
• Be at least 18 years of age.
• You may need to submit 3 months most recent bank statements or payslips.

How do I pay with Mobicred on Yuppiechef.com?

1. Shop on Yuppiechef.com as you normally would and add to cart.
2. At Checkout, choose Mobicred as your payment option.
3. Sign in with your Mobicred username and password. This will trigger an OTP (One Time Pin) to your registered mobile device.
4. Enter the OTP to complete the payment.
5. We'll begin to process your order as soon as we receive payment from Mobicred.
6. You get the much-loved kitchen and homeware products what you want as quickly as we can get them to you, and you pay your Mobicred instalments when due.

Can I use my Mobicred account to shop in Yuppiechef stores?

No, Mobicred is currently only available when shopping Yuppiechef online.

What happens if I need to return something I bought?

The Yuppiechef returns process remains unchanged. If you need to make a return, you're still able to either have an online order collected from your delivery address, or to return it in person to one of our branches, across South Africa. If a refund needs to be issued for a purchase made from your Mobicred account, it can either be refunded to that same account, or you can opt to receive a Yuppiechef voucher immediately in-store.
