eat art Pepper Trade, 8 Pack

2019 was the year of cacio e pepe for me! Discovering this amazing Roman dish (thanks Peter!) changed my life, and learning the rather tricky cooking technique completely transformed the way I cook pasta. (For those who don't know the dish, take a look at Alex "the French Guy Cooking" on Youtube.)
The only issue was trying to find good quality pepper... I was fortunate to find some Cambodian Red Kampot at a local deli at stratospheric expense, but the flavour and aroma was so remarkable that I felt it was worth it. Only problem was, the supplier had disappeared, and the Red Kampot was, therefore, going to run out. I went into hoarding mode... blending the pepper with regular storebought black pepper.
Anyway, after cooking cacio e pepe for some friends, I was absolutely blown away to receive this beautiful pepper pack from one of them for my birthday. Wow! The quality, freshness and variety is phenomenal. Before I started my cacio e pepe adventure I had no idea what fresh pepper really tasted like or the level of potential flavour and aroma that was possible. With this pepper pack, pepper really does become more than part of your routine seasoning - each pepper is extremely distinctive and aromatic, giving nuance of flavour or out of this world pungency to your dishes, be it for cacio e pepe, or grass-fed filet au poivre, or boiled eggs with mayonnaise.
I am writing this review for a purely selfish reason, and that is to encourage customers to buy it so that it remains available in the longterm! :P

The pepper isn't very strong. I was going to buy some more of them, but am not going to after trying two of the types of pepper. I am disappointed.
